Intro [by David G McDaniel]

Welcome to the official site for Fallen Angel. In the vein of Harry Potter, Twilight and other popular series, Fallen Angel is a tale for readers of all ages. Packed with a ton of cool, high-tech machines, intense action sequences, large-scale battles and all else, Fallen Angel is yet, at the same time, a romantic tale. You might describe it as "Twilight meets Halo". Definitely a potent mix. The romantic will find the action bearable, if not downright fun; a natural extension of the love story within. Conversely the action fan will, in the midst of the excitement, find themselves touched by the depth of the characters and the trials they face. Fallen Angel is the tale of a teenage girl who's catapulted from a very normal life into an entirely alien world, which is in the midst of a planetary war. Her journey to self-discovery, to finding the hero within amid this tapestry of conflict, sets the pace. Like The Wizard of Oz she draws to herself a cast of supporting characters who come to believe in her, even as her determination and resolution win the day. And of course, throughout it all, is the tale of her pursuit of a love that can never be. - Dave

  1. It's empty?!

Very interesting hearing a man's viewpoint of what highschool years are like for a young girl.. not too far off, Dave. I'm impressed. Where did you get your insight?

  2. I'm actually hoping more girls will weigh in. : ) This is my biggest unknown, of course, and that is: Am I even writing a girl character right? I figure, if JK Rowling can write a boy protagonist, I can write a girl! In truth, Jessica is just the character that presented herself in my imagination, so she got the part. : )

  3. I think so. Having once been a precocious old-soul teenage girl with eclectic tastes and raging hormones, I think you're definitely hitting close to home.

  4. Awesome. This means a lot. I don't have any illusion of getting it perfect, but if I'm getting close then that makes me very excited. Whew! And the "old soul", well ... that will end up being much truer than a simple cliche. Glad you're already getting a sense of that. That, too, makes me excited. Thanks Desi!
